Taryn Tarasenko – Senior Rehabilitation Consultant / Occupational Therapist
Taryn is the Director of Workable Solutions and is a registered Occupational Therapist with extensive experience in injury management, rehabilitation and disability. She graduated from Curtin University in 1999 with a Bachelor of Science (Occupational Therapy) and has worked in Western Australia, Northern Territory and New South Wales. She is passionate about helping others to achieve their potential and provides a caring person-centred approach. Taryn is committed to providing high quality evidence-based care to her clients and provides professional independent recommendations leading to positive outcomes.
Monika Bravo – Occupational Therapist
Monika Bravo is a registered Occupational Therapist with a Bachelor of Science (Honours in Occupational Therapy). Monika has worked across the workplace rehabilitation and insurance sector delivering injury management, injury prevention and return to work coordination for compensable and non-compensable injuries. Monika has managed portfolios inclusive of personal injury, corporate and federal across Western Australia and Northern Territory region. Monika has extensive experience undertaking ergonomic assessments, job tasks analysis and workplace rehabilitation services, along with supporting injured workers to achieve their return to work goals and promoting the Health Benefits of Good Work.
Kylie Shaw – Senior Rehabilitation Consultant / Occupational Therapist
Kylie is a registered Occupational Therapist with over 10 years experience in the vocational rehabilitation and injury management sector. Kylie relocated from Perth to the Pilbara region in WA’s North West where she has now called Karratha home for the past 5 years.
She is committed to providing a holistic, clear and collaborative injury management approach, having worked with small employers to large scale corporations in mining, construction, logistics, warehousing, government, health and education. Kylie is passionate about helping individuals achieve sustainable health, social and return to work outcomes and adopts an evidence-based and strengths-based mindset to support this.
Kylie has extensive experience delivering ergonomic assessments, ergonomic risk assessments, ADL assessments, job demand assessments, and workplace rehabilitation activities to support vocational goals following injury or illness. When not at work Kylie enjoys boating or caravaning along the north west coast with her young family.
Sandra Smith – Senior Rehabilitation Consultant
Sandra is a registered Occupational Therapist with a Bachelor of Science (Occupational Therapy). She has extensive experience in injury management and preventative employer initiatives including ergonomics and manual handling training. She has worked in private practice, the government sector, and internally in organisations, as an Injury Management Coordinator and Occupational Health and Safety Advisor. Sandra has implemented injury prevention and fitness for work strategies across various industries, including aviation, oil and gas and mining and the health sector. She has also had more than five years’ hospital and community-based occupational therapy experience. Sandra is a member of Human Factors & Ergonomics Society of Australia and has a Post Graduate Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health.
Monique Blackwell - Occupational Therapist
With over 20 years of experience as an Occupational Therapist, Monique brings a diverse clinical background spanning occupational rehabilitation, injury management, and acute hospital care. Throughout her career, she has partnered with individuals, employers, insurers and healthcare professionals to support recovery, maximise function and facilitate safe, sustainable return-to-work outcomes.
Monique believes in the value of early intervention and prevention, and brings experience in manual handling and ergonomic education, workplace health consultancy, and developing practical solutions that support both workers and employers. She draws on strong communication skills, practical problem-solving, and an ability to build positive, collaborative relationships with all key stakeholders.
Monique is a proud country girl who grew up in Western Australia's Wheatbelt. Her rural upbringing has shaped both her values and her approach to practice, grounded in honesty, transparency, reliability and the belief that trust is earned through following through on commitments. Having worked on a cattle station and travelled to some of Australia's most remote corners with her young family, she has developed a deep appreciation for regional communities and the unique challenges they face. She is passionate about supporting country people and values the opportunity to use her professional skills to make a meaningful difference in the lives of people and businesses in the South West.
Courtney Farrell - Professional Support Assistant
Courtney is a part of the Workable Solutions team as a Professional Support Assistant. Courtney has previously worked in the dental industry and has worked in the disability sector for three years. She enjoys supporting the Workable Solutions team in an organisational capacity. Courtney will be there to help you with any administration enquiries that you may have. When Courtney is not working with Workable Solutions you will usually find her at the beach or on the water with her family.
